The most beautiful hikes in the Börzsöny and Cserhát Mountains #02

One of the hiking areas closest to the capital is the Börzsöny. Although we have other mountain ranges of volcanic origin, none offer such an intimate glimpse into the remnants of an ancient volcano. Csóványos or Hegyes-tető are popular hiking spots, but our undisclosed goal is to guide the reader to the more hidden corners of the mountain range, further from the Danube. The Cserhát is also represented in the book with six hikes, more as a taster rather than in full detail. The selection ranges widely: from easy, few-kilometer forest walks enjoyable for beginner hikers to more exhausting hikes for the more experienced, many routes can be found among the 40 hikes in this pocket-sized, richly illustrated publication with photos and drawings. With QR codes placed on the maps, each can be opened in the Természetjáró application, making navigation simple with a smartphone. Therefore, in the descriptions, we could focus on exciting background information and concise yet engaging introductions to the natural and cultural attractions along the way.
