This creates a precise connection between the climber and the wall, enabling more efficient footwork than traditional, flat beginner models. The PSR 4 rating offers an ideal balance between grip and edging, making it a versatile shoe for beginners and developing climbers. Its perforated, microfiber upper is breathable, and the soft heel design ensures comfort during longer climbs. The 3.5 mm TRAX SAS rubber sole provides excellent grip while offering sufficient support on small edges.

The PSR is a rating scale from 1 to 10, ranging between sensitivity/smearing and sharp edging.

• PSR 1–3: extremely sensitive smearing and volume shapes
• PSR 4–7: versatile, suitable for both volumes and edges
• PSR 8–10: for small edges and precise foot placements

Evolv shoes are not designed to be worn in smaller sizes. They use three fit categories:

• maximum performance: street shoe size
• performance: 0.5-1 size larger than street size
• comfort: 1-1.5 sizes larger than street size
